The winter months are harsh times for the homeless. PRPIS brings people together to lend support in helping those who are unable to help themselves.
In the past years Pep Rally for Peace in the Streets has held a fall Hat Coat Boot Blanket Food Drive" that focuses on the needs of homeless, and needy families in the Washington Metro-politan area in today's economic times.
For 2020 we have had to suspend our public gatheirings to help aovid the spread of Covid-19.
This Winter of 2020 we are insteads working to direclty support the homeless and displaced familis with a Winter Survival Back Pac that contains essential and optional items to better survivie the Covid-19 Pandemic durring the Winter of 2020.
The Survival Back Pac contains 12 essential Kits to enable the homeless, and needy families of the DMV to safely outlast the ivCovid-19 Pandenimc.
PRPIS is looking for others to help make this Survical Back Pac avaible to all who want one. To that end, we are seeking a sponsors for each of the 12 essential Kits (and optional items). The cost for the essential Survical Back Pac is $50 and with the optional items brings the over all cost to $110. We are planning to start with 250 Survival Back Pac's with the untimate goal of 2,000.
